NYS Certified Educator · 12+ Years in Classrooms & Coaching
Your home, their classroom.
One goal: independence.
Ms. McKissic's Class partners with parents to design an education their child will thrive in — from hands-on homeschool consulting to a self-paced reading course kids can own. Good instruction helps people think for themselves, and live with a little more peace because of it.

Private Partnerships
A fully designed education, built around your child
For families who've chosen to homeschool and want it done right — not pieced together. The Homeschool Design Partnership pairs your vision with a certified educator's expertise, so every part of your child's education works together: the schedule, the curriculum, your own skills as their teacher, and a clear way to know it's working.
The Homeschool Design Partnership
A fully private, one-on-one education architecture built around your child — not a curriculum box, not a franchise program. Designed, built, and adjusted by a former New York State classroom educator and instructional leader, for a small number of families at a time.
By private consultation only. I intentionally work with a limited number of families so every plan gets my full attention.
- Vision Session — we define exactly what your child's education should accomplish, academically, socially, and long-term.
- Custom-Built Learning Architecture — designed around your family's actual rhythm and goals, not a generic schedule template.
- Curriculum Curation — hand-selected and matched to how your child actually learns, never templated.
- Private Pedagogy Sessions — for you, and any tutors or support staff, so the approach is applied consistently by everyone around your child.
- Ongoing Assessment Calendar — so progress is never a guess.
- Continuous Data-Informed Adjustment — the plan evolves in real time, the same way instruction adjusts in the strongest classrooms.
I've spent over a decade as a New York State certified educator — training teachers, leading instructional programs, and designing curriculum inside high-performing schools. I hold a background from the Johns Hopkins School of Education and I'm a Hampton University and Teach For America alumna. The Homeschool Design Partnership brings that same level of instructional leadership — the kind usually reserved for schools and districts — directly into your home, built around one student: yours.

About Ms. McKissic
Hi, I'm Ms. McKissic.
I'm a New York State certified elementary educator with over a dozen years of experience in the classroom — teaching students directly, coaching new and veteran teachers, and managing instructional teams across schools. Somewhere in those years, one idea kept showing up: good instruction isn't only about test scores. It's about giving people — kids and adults alike — the tools to think clearly, work through hard problems, and move through the world with more independence and more peace.
That's the thread running through everything here — whether I'm designing a private homeschool partnership or a self-paced class: built the way I'd want it built for my own students, clear, encouraging, and paced so a child can genuinely learn and grow.
Whether you're a teacher sharpening your practice or a parent looking for classes your child can own, I'm glad you're here.
